Happy Meals? final presentation

Happy Meals? final presentation

On June 16th, 2014 students from the Academy of Urban Planning in Bushwick presented "Happy Meals?"

For this City Studies project, Mrs. Harrington and Mr. Moody’s ESL classes worked with teaching artist Chelsea Wagner to find out about what rights fast food restaurant workers have and want.

Students took a field trip to restaurant chains in the neighborhood and interviewed a community organizer and a fast food worker. They created a not-so-happy meal box explaining wage rights on one side, and the right to unionize on the other.
