Healthy Salons For All in the Press

_Healthy Salons For All_ in the Press

Nail salon technicians work hard to keep New York City looking great. But many are recent immigrants unfamiliar with their labor rights and how to protect their health in the workplace.

To address this issue, CUP created a fold-out poster with Adhikaar and designers Welcome Workshop, Healthy Salons For All. The poster will be distributed through the citywide Healthy Nail Salon campaign.

To learn more about the experiences of nail salon workers, check out Unvarnished, an in-depth investigation by The New York Times.

For press coverage of Healthy Nail Salons For All and the Healthy Nail Salon campaign, check out The Village Voice, The Nation, and Jacobin Magazine. The poster was also mentioned in The Brian Lehrer Show interview with Unvarnished author Sarah Maslin Nir and featured in a video report by New Tang Dynasty Television.
