Print I Got Arrested! Now What?

This issue of Making Policy Public breaks down the juvenile justice system comic book-style. Check out the system step-by-step, meet the decision-makers, and pick up crucial tips as you follow the story of Chris from his arrest to the last gavel slam.

The fully unfolded poster lets you track the branches of the New York State juvenile justice system in a fact-filled flow chart and learn a few lawyerly words along the way. It’s so thorough that the NYC Department of Probation gives them out to youth that are arrested in the five boroughs.

This pamphlet was produced through a collaboration of CUP, the Center for Court Innovation, the Youth Justice Board, and graphic novelist Danica Novgorodoff.
